Major Iranian car company SIAPA presold over 43,323 vehicles in less than 7 hours on Tuesday.
Through the online presale that started Tuesday morning and was still underway on Wednesday, the company offered Pride, Tiba, Saina and Ario models. The sales will continue until all the 50,000 vehicles on offer are sold, the carmaker reported on its website.
It is worthy of mention the carmaker(s) customarily never mention the final price of vehicles they sell. Over the past several months, the common people anxious about losing their life’s savings due to the unprecedented economic conditions and rampant uncertainty, are desperate in wanting to turn their cash into safe-haven assets. It is largely for this reason that they relent to the outrageous, unfair and unjust sales policy of the avaricious carmakers and the army of middlemen who work for them and jack up prices with impunity.
SAIPA is charging customers a down payment of 110 million rials to 300 million rials (€733 to €2,000) depending on the model with 15% interest.
Simple arithmetic shows that SAIPA has so far earned some 8.9 trillion rials (€59.2 million) through the present presales.
The soonest delivery date for the presold cars is not before February 2019, and the latest is July 2019.
According to the firm, online registration is not allowed for people under age of 18 and all those who purchased a car over the past 18 months.
People using their national ID number can register only for one car in the presales system. Furthermore, those who have sent an application for Iran Khodro presales in recent weeks are not eligible to participate in SAIPA’s presale scheme.
The latest online registration was understandably welcomed by the public as was the case with SAIPA’s earlier presale program last month. In September, the company managed to presell 50,000 cars in less than 38 hours.
