The Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) conducted a joint aerial military drills near the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf on Friday. The exercises involved the military and IRGC fighter jets, including F-4, Mirage and Sukhoi-22, IRNA reported on Friday. Five logistics and combat helicopters were to take part in the games off the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman. “In addition to a show of strength, this ceremony is a message of peace and friendship for friendly and neighboring countries,” Colonel Yousef Safipour, deputy commander of the Army in charge of public relations said.
