Fakhteh ensemble is to hold a concert on June 15 in the port city of Noshahr, Mazandaran Province.
Amphitheater Hall of the Caspian city will host the ensemble led by Khashayar Hesami, Mehr News Agency reported on its Persian website.
The concert is organized jointly by Taranom-e Saz Music Academy in Tehran and the Noshahr Department of Culture Ministry.
Fakhteh will present a repertoire of Qajar (1786-1925) music, introducing new approaches particularly in singing and accompaniment.
Moheb-Ali Bakhshi will sing. Hedayat Kalari, Mohammad-Mehdi Sheikh and Nima Daghmechi will play tar and setar. Arman Heydarian and Ali-Reza Rasouli play kamancheh. Hamoun Bahrami-Moqaddam and Khashayar Parsa are on santur. Oud is played by Abouzar Hosseini, and tonbak by Hossein Gazor.
