The Asian Chess Federation and the International Chess Federation have announced that Hamedan will host the Asian Nations Cup for Team Championship.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the western city in Iran will host the event from July 27 to August 4. It is the third time the nation will be hosting the games.
Iran has hosted the tournament twice before in 2006 and 2014; Isfahan and Tabriz hosted the Asian Cup respectively.
The games will be held in both men and women categories allowing the champions to participate in the biennial World Team Championships held among top continental teams.
