Loading operations for the South Pars Phase 13 tripod for flare stack 'C' to be transferred and installed in the Persian Gulf were successfully carried out in Iran's Offshore Engineering and Construction Company's yard in Bushehr, the director of Phase 13 development project said.
“The 446-ton tripod, that is 69 meters tall, was lifted with the help of domestic floating crane HL-5000 and will be carried to its location with Artemis barge,” Payam Motamed was also quoted as saying by IRNA on Sunday.
According to Motamed, installing the tripod will be an important step to complete Phase 13 offshore venture.
Pointing to tripod for flare stack 'D' that was carried to its location two weeks ago, the official added that the tripod was installed with the help of domestic experts.
Giving a breakdown, the official said Phase 13 is being developed with 91%, 82% and 78% progress in refinery, drilling and pipe laying sections respectively.
Phase 13 is aimed at producing 80,000 barrels of gas condensates per day.
