A comprehensive plan for conservation of the endangered Persian Fallow Deer species was developed at a recent work shop for the revival of the species. International consultants attended the workshop held by the Department of Environment (DoE), said Dr. Majid Kharazian Moghaddam, DoE general director of national wildlife research.
Under the plan, the deer number is expected to increase to 700. “At present we have 350 Persian Fallow Deer in the country,” Mehr News Agency quoted him as saying.
