The Society for Appreciation of Cultural Works and Dignitaries will hold a ceremony to commemorate the works of Persian philosopher and founder of the Iranian school of illumination or ‘Hikmat al Ishraq’ Shahab al-Din Yahya ibn Habash Sohrevardi (1154-1191).
Slated for July 30, the meeting will be held for a review and debate on the wisdom and philosophy of Sohrevardi who provided an original Platonic criticism of the early Islamic philosophy dominant in his time.
The ceremony from 5:30-7:30 pm will be held at the society’s Motahari Conference Hall, located at No.71, Bashiri Street, Amir Bahador Bridge, Valiasr Avenue, according to to the website of the society, anjom.ir.
