The new Jordanian ambassador to Iran submitted a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a meeting on Sunday. Zarif said the region and the Muslim world are today faced with numerous problems, adding, “Dealing with these issues, especially the Zionist regime’s actions against the holy al-Quds, and combating extremism demand consultations and cooperation between all countries.”  He also said Iran is ready to have close cooperation with the “brotherly country of Jordan” to pave the way for expanding bilateral ties and collaborate with the Arab country in the campaign against “extremism” and “sectarian conflicts”.      Abdullah Sulaiman Abdullah Abu Romman, for his part, said Amman is determined to strengthen ties with Tehran, expressing hope that political and economic relations would improve through increased efforts by the embassies of the two countries.
