Iran exported close to 22,000 tons of kiwi worth over $9.7 million were exported to 22 countries during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 20), registering a rise of about 38% and 37% in weight and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period. Russia was the biggest customer for Iranian kiwi with 11,800 tons of purchase worth about $4.7 million, ISNA reported.
Other export destinations were Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, the UAE, Ukraine, Bahrain, Belgium, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Moldova, Rwanda, Iraq, Oman, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Georgia, India and the US.
