Portuguese banks will start relations with Iran as soon as there are more business opportunities for Portuguese companies in Iran, said Portugal’s Deputy Foreign Minister Jorge Costa Oliveira, on the sidelines of his visit to the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mining and Agriculture on Saturday. Portugal’s largest private bank [Millennium BCP] had previously worked with Iranian companies, he said, adding that other Portuguese lenders are now willing to work with Iran, IRIB news website reported.
