Antimony Production Line Inaugurated

Sefidabeh Antimony Complex, located in Sistan-Baluchistan Province, was inaugurated by the Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh on Thursday, Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization reported on its website. The industrial complex’s antimony production line is set to manufacture 300 kg of antimony ingots per day with a purity of 96.99%. By setting up this production line, Iran joined the ranks of eight countries capable of manufacturing this strategic metal, namely China, Russia, Bolivia, Australia, South Africa, Tajikistan, Mexico and the United States. Antimony is used in sectors such as electronics, petrochemicals, textiles and pharmaceuticals as well as in the manufacture of paint and durable alloys.
