Kazakhstan plans to start commercial oil production at Caspian offshore oilfield Kashagan in December 2016, the country's Economy Minister Yerbolat Dosayev said on Tuesday. He added that the active phase of expansion of another oil project, TengizChevroil, would start in April 2016. Astana has said it may cut oil output by a tenth next year if prices drop to $30 per barrel, Reuters reported.
