The Seventh Conference of Directors of Caspian Sea Ports is scheduled for November 16-17 in Amirabad Port Special Economic Zone located in Mazandaran Province. Representatives of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan will attend the confab, announced Ali Khedmatgozar, the director general of the port. According to the official, stepping up maritime and port cooperation, sharing the Caspian states’ maritime expertise, promoting trade between the countries, absorbing investments from the private sector to develop port infrastructure and developing maritime tourism in the Caspian Sea are some of the main topics set to be discussed in the conference, IRNA reported.
