Iran has exported 57 million liters of diesel to Afghanistan via Doqaroun border since March 2015.

Director of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company in Khorasan Razavi Province Mohammad Mehdi Qaraie said the diesel has been exported to Afghanistan via Doqaroun checkpoint since March 2015, Shana reported.

Doqaroun is a major checkpoint on Iran-Afghanistan border connecting Khorasan Razavi to Herat.

Qaraie said the government is promoting the export of oil products by companies and cooperatives to reduce fuel smuggling.

"The cargo was delivered by fuel trucks. While border dwellers' cooperative transported 38% of it, 15 other companies, approved by NIORDC's International Affairs Department, handled the rest," he said.

"The government's macro policy is to increase the export of oil products, especially to neighboring countries like Afghanistan."

NIORDC in Khorasan Razavi is one of the 37 operational zones in the country receiving oil products like regular and Euro-4 gasoline, regular and Euro-4 diesel, kerosene and jet fuel, via the Tehran-Mashhad 20-inch pipeline.
