Qatar Airways has launched a business class in Boeing 777 flights from Doha to Tehran.
In a ceremony to mark the new development attended by Qatar’s ambassador to Iran Ali bin Hamad al-Sulaiti and the director of Qatar Airways in Iran Shahab Atarzadeh held last week in Tehran, Atarzadeh said: “Qatar Airways is a five-star airline and currently has 18 flights to Tehran, 7 flights to Mashhad and 4 to Shiraz per week.”
Atarzade added that more than 5,000 Iranians choose Qatar Airways to travel to Qatar and other destinations every month, IRNA reported.
The Qatari envoy, for his part, said: “Doha seeks to expand trade ties with Tehran which currently stands at over $500 million a year.”
