On the 82nd day of spring when the weather is relatively warm in many parts of the country, fresh snowfall covered Kelardasht, Chalus county, in the northern Mazandaran Province. Extreme snowfall in mid-June surprised three German mountaineers in the heights of the Alam-kouh, forcing them to return to the base camp, Alef News Agency reported. Alam-kouh is in the Alborz Mountain range in the north of Iran, forming a peak of the Takht-e Suleyman Massif. At an elevation of 4,848 meters, it is the country’s second highest peak after Mount Damavand.
