American tourists traveling to Iran on the Jewels of Persia luxury train said people in America are awaiting the signing of a comprehensive nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1 in order to facilitate travel to Iran.

Speaking to IRNA, American tourist Joan Firman talked about the vastly different side of Iran she and other passengers encountered.

“I had studied a lot about Iran but seeing its beauty and attractions deepened my notion of the rich history and culture of this country,” she asserted.

Ursula Schoenheim, a New York University professor emphasized world peace as a desire of the nations and said, “I learned about Iranian civilization from books and academic studies but this is my first to Iran.”

“Mashhad, Yazd, Isfahan, and Shiraz are among the most spectacular places in the world,” she said, adding, “We received a warm welcome wherever we went.”

Aran Ok, another international tourist, pointed to the nuclear deal as a huge step towards developing a better understanding between the two nations, adding that reaching an understanding with Iran can only be beneficial.

Peter Wenz also stressed that the whole world is eagerly anticipating the nuclear deal to go through without any hiccups.

Seventy-two passengers aboard the ‘Jewels of Persia’ luxury train entered Tabriz, West Azerbaijan Province, on April 9 for the first time in the current Iranian year (started March 21). The travelers, from countries such as the USA, Austria, Hungary, and Germany, visited Tabriz, Zanjan, Yazd, Shiraz, and Isfahan as they made their way east.
