A coordinated military attack by the United States and Israel struck multiple locations across Iran on Saturday, leaving at least 201 people dead and 747 injured nationwide, according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society.
Emergency response operations were underway in 24 provinces as of late evening, with more than 220 operational teams deployed to affected areas.
Red Crescent spokesman Mojtaba Khaledi said the reported figures represent cumulative casualties from incidents recorded up to 20:45 local time.
Rescue and relief operations continue across impacted regions, with authorities urging citizens to avoid approaching strike locations and to maintain a safe distance of at least 100 meters from affected sites to facilitate emergency work.
Among the deadliest incidents was an attack on Shajareh Tayyebeh elementary school in the southern city of Minab.
Local judicial authorities confirmed that 85 people were killed and more than 90 injured in the strike, the majority of them students. Educational staff members and parents were also among the victims. Medical and forensic teams have been mobilized to identify the deceased, while hospitals in the region remain on high alert.
Emergency services continue to operate at full capacity as assessments of damage and humanitarian needs are ongoing.
Authorities called on the public to follow updates through official channels and credible media sources, refrain from unnecessary travel near affected areas, and avoid non-essential communications that could disrupt emergency response networks. The situation remains fluid as rescue efforts continue and further assessments are conducted.
