Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 27,930.35 points or 1.27% on Tuesday to end at 2,168,197.09 while the TSE equal-weighted index gave up 0.73%.
About 8.57 billion shares worth 72.3 trillion rials ($160.66 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Tuka Transportation Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 4.91% to 4,126 rials per share.
Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.47% to 33,240 rials per share.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company, Pardis Petrochemical Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company.
Mellat Bank gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Middle East Bank, Eghtesad Novin Bank and Ofogh Koorosh Chain Stores Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 241.03 points or 0.86% to close Tuesday at 27,786.57.
About 5.01 billion securities worth 47.77 trillion rials ($106.16 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 367.51 million worth 508.97 billion rials ($1.13 million).
Northeast Shahroud Industrial and Mining Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.88% to reach 177,200 rials per share.
The big loser was Baghmisheh Urbanism Company plunging 6.56% to reach 8,260 rials per share.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Iran Khodro Diesel Company and Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Sepidar System Asia Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Sina Port and Marine Services Development Company, Tabas Parvardeh Coal Company and Hejrat Distribution Company.
