Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 11,278.16 points or 0.52% on Saturday to end at 2,162,616.29 and the TSE equal-weighted index dropped 0.43%.
About 8.7 billion shares worth 64.45 trillion rials ($143.25 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Kashan Amir Kabir Steel Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.15% to 8,110 rials per share. Leasing Khodro Ghadir Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.55% to 6,560 rials per share.
Bank Mellat contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and National Iranian Copper Industries Company.
Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mobin Energy Persian Gulf Company, Shiraz Petrochemical Company and Ghadir Investment Company.
IFX Slips 0.64%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 179.38 points or 0.64% to close Saturday at 27,818.06. About 6.25 billion securities worth 100.01 trillion rials ($222.25 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 414.84 million worth 591.28 billion rials ($1.31 million).
Sanati Doodeh Fam Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.64% to reach 48,950 rials per share. The big loser was Pegah Golestan Dairy Company plunging 6.44% to reach 32,700 rials per share.
Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Iran Khodro Diesel Company and Bahman Diesel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Iranol Oil Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company, Pasargad Oil Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company.
