Shares Extend Losses

Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 34,746.13 points or 1.48% on Saturday to end at 2,311,221.79 while the TSE equal-weighted index gave up 1.53%.

About 12.46 billion shares worth 102.9 trillion rials ($228.64 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Amin Pharmaceutical Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 5.99% to 5,660 rials per share. Nasir Machine Engineering Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 9.15% to 18,470 rials per share.

Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company and Esfahan Oil Refining Company.

Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company and Khorasan Petrochemical Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 451.79 points or 1.53% to close Saturday at 29,041.59.

About 10.72 billion securities worth 299.41 trillion rials ($665.35 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Kerman Province Development Investment Company had the highest number of traded shares at 428.34 million worth 673.13 billion rials ($1.5 million).

Goldasht Nemooneh Isfahan Agro-Livestock Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.84% to reach 28,900 rials per share.

The main loser was Khazar Caspian Wood Industry Company plunging 6.95% to reach 95,000 rials per share.

Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Sarcheshmeh Copper Investment Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Saveh Cement Company, Daana Pharmaceutical Company and Pasargad Insurance Company.
