The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, gained 692.67 points or 0.04% on Wednesday to end at 1,557,244. The TSE equal-weighted index gained 0.31%.
About 19.7 billion shares worth 70.04 trillion rials ($241.5 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Kashan Amirkabir Steel Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.94% to 16,190 rials per share.
Iran Construction Investment Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.65% to 1,769 rials per share.
Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company had the highest negative impact on TEDPIX, followed by Social Security Investment Company, Telecommunication Company of Iran and Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company.
Pardis Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Mellat Bank and Pasargad Bank.
IFX Barely Higher
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 15.54 points or 0.08% to close Wednesday at 20,251.28.
About 7.51 billion securities worth 134.71 trillion rials ($464.54 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 553.91 million worth 479.03 billion rials ($1.65m). Alborz Distribution Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 10.59% to reach 37,600 rials per share.
The big laggard was Dena Afarin Fadak Food Preparation and Distribution Company plunging 6.22% to reach 9,050 rials per share.
Day Bank, Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Melal Credit Institution had the most negative impact on IFX.
Alborz Distribution Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Pasargad Insurance Company, Kowsar Insurance Company and Marun Petrochemical Company.
