Tehran Stock Exchange Plunges 2.05%

Tehran Stock Exchange recorded the second worst performance day on Wednesday since the beginning of the current fiscal year in March.

The TSE main index TEDPIX lost 25,993.75 points or 2.05% to end the week at 1,241,067.09.

About 8.01 billion shares worth 56.64 trillion rials ($172.6 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Iranian Leasing Company was the big winner as its shares climbed 5.81% to 3,222 rials per share.

Bahman Leasing Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.94% to 2,482 rials per share.

Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Parsian Oil & Gas Development Group (POGDC), Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company and Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company.

Isfahan Cement Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Sazeh Puyesh Company, Pars National Agro-Industry and Animal Husbandry Company and Iran Ferrosilice Company.

 

 

IFX Down 1.59%

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 277.87 points or 1.59% to close at 17,210.14.

About 3.49 billion securities valued at 142.18 trillion rials ($433.2m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Kerman Province Development and Construction Company had the highest trade with 295.6 million of its shares worth 189.9 billion rials ($578,611).

Khazar Caspian Wood Industry Company was first with the highest growth among all IFB-listed companies with 5.76% rise to reach 27,550 rials per share.

Leading the losing camp was Day Insurance Company with 6.76% fall to reach the 3,172 rials per share.

Pasargad Insurance Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Shahid Tongouyan Petrochemical Company, and Marun Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Chaharmahal Food Products and Sugar Company and Chlorpars Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Sepidar System Aria Company, Shahroud Northeast Industrial and Mining Company and Negin Software Development Company.
