    Tehran Stocks Bearish 

    Almost all stock categories ended lower Sunday with sell-side pressure taking a bigger toll on small caps and penny stocks. 

    The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 9,735.41 points or 0.66% to end trade at 1,463,764.

    The TSE’s equal-weighted index shed 1.1%, indicating that penny stocks took a bigger drubbing. 

    Tickers of auto and spare parts, multidisciplinary investment companies and construction sectors were the main losers.

    Retail trade rose 3% on the previous session to reach 28.97 trillion rials ($93.4 million).  

    A total of 6.18 billion shares worth 47.18 trillion rials ($152m) changed hands at TSE on Sunday. 

    Pegah Khorasan Dairy Company was the main beneficiary as its shares went up 4.93% to 3,813 rials per share.

    Sepahan Cement Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5.92% to 10,020 rials per share.

    Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, Mines and Metals Development Investment Company and Nouri Petrochemical Company.

    Esfahan Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company, Tehran Oil Refining Company and Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company.

     

    IFX Down 1.2%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 233.51 points or 1.2% to close Sunday at the 19,181. About 2.61 billion shares and securities valued at 68.57 trillion rials ($221m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Lavan Oil Refining Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Pasargad Insurance Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company and Ghasem Iran Company.
