A domestic knowledge-based company has produced a concrete blocking machine at one-tenth of the cost of foreign counterparts.
“By using modern technology, the Iran-made blocking machine helps produce building materials with higher speed,” said Esmaeil Tabatabai Moqaddam, a member of the board of directors of Toziran Industrial Company.
Used in the construction industry, the blocking machine complies with international standards and has a 15% higher efficiency compared to similar European machines, according to the news portal of the Vice-Presidency of Science and Technology.
The blocking machine produced by Toziran Industrial Company precisely controls the block’s height and density, before moving the process forward. It can produce 1,000 wall blocks per hour.
The machine has six electric motors, including a 4-kW motor, a 5-kW hydraulic motor with 900 rpm and 1.1 kW vibrating motors each with 2800 rpm. Running on 3 phases of 25 amperes each, the machine’s hydraulic system consists of a 15-liter piston pump with a pressure of 500 bar.
The company’s director explained the process of concrete block production and how the domestic machine successfully implements every step of the process without errors. He noted that the company offers 10 years of after-sales services and a six-month warranty.
"About 20 jobs have been created in Toziran and if the construction industry flourishes [after the recession ends], up to $2 million in foreign exchange savings will be achieved by using this blocking machine,” Moqaddam said.
Advanced Compressor Developed
Recently, another domestic knowledge-based company successfully developed a high-speed, high-pressure centrifugal compressor, which has many advantages compared to older models.
“The equipment is used in the oil and gas industry to compress condensates and gas. In some machines, air is compressed and sent to the combustion chamber,” Alireza Nasseri, a member of the board of directors of Kavosh Sanat Toos Company, said.
As a great deal of mechanical energy is expended, the temperature of the compressed gas also rises. High-pressure gas from the compressors is then passed through a cooling system to lower temperature, the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology reported.
One of the features of a centrifugal compressor is its radial thrust. The air enters the center of the rotating impeller using radial vanes and is expelled by centrifugal forces to the rotating impeller. Before air is pushed to the center of the next rotating impeller, it passes through a diffuser and a coil chamber, in which kinetic energy is converted to static pressure.
The official noted that by achieving capacities as high as 35,000 kW, temporary loads applied to the cycle show higher efficiency and uniform gas movement reduces noise and vibration, which are among the advantages of this device.
High-speed centrifugal compressors are ideal for industries that require a constant application of high-volume pressure.
“This compressor is lighter and has a more compact structure compared to other counterparts. It is more energy efficient and has low maintenance cost because of using fewer parts,” Nasseri said, while stressing that the machine supplies 100% oil-free air and exhibits high resistance to dust.
The new compressor is able to work with a wide range of compressible fluids such as helium, xenon, oxygen and liquid nitrogen.
“Supporting knowledge-based companies can clearly play a significant role in saving foreign currency and generating employment. The production of high-speed, high-pressure centrifugal compressors has prevented unnecessary imports," he said.
Nasseri noted that promoting knowledge-based products and creating jobs are some of the most important achievements of this enterprise.
Domestic Machine Competitive
A knowledge-based company has succeeded in manufacturing a machine that can simultaneously undertake milling and turning, and rivals foreign counterparts.
“The machine has many applications in various industries,” Mohammad Hossein Amani, CEO of Mobtakeran Sanat Rash Machine-Building Company, said, noting that the Computer Numerical Control milling and turning machine has six axes.
The precise cutting machine, which has been patented, is controlled by a preprogrammed computer software that handles its tools functions.
The eight-head CNC milling and turning machine is used in many industries, including wood, sculpture, statuary, modeling and molding, as well as masonry.
The foreign model of this device is made only for metals and are very expensive compared to the domestic model, so its use in the wood and stone industries is not affordable.
The high quality, lower price and its ability to work on eight pieces simultaneously make the domestic product competitive.
