Iran's Trade With Persian Gulf Countries Surpasses $25 Billion in 10 Months

Iran traded 50.04 million tons of goods worth $25.32 billion with Persian Gulf littoral states, namely Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, during the current fiscal year’s first 10 months (March 21-Jan. 20), according to the latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
The UAE was Iran’s top trade partner among the Persian Gulf states under review with 19.22 million tons worth $16.84 billion. It was followed by Iraq with 27.03 million tons worth $8.22 billion and Kuwait with 2.81 million tons worth $136.66 million.
Iran’s exports totaled 37.84 million tons worth $11.34 billion, IRIB News reported.
Iraq was the main export destination with 25.04 million tons worth $7.29 billion and was followed by the UAE with 9.03 million tons worth $3.8 billion, Kuwait with 2.8 million tons worth $125.18 million, Qatar with 967,503 tons worth $117.13 million, Bahrain with 10,028 tons worth $7.18 million and Saudi Arabia with 428 tons worth $41,018.
