Tehran Stock Exchange closed trading session on Wednesday lower bucking a rising trend that continued for three consecutive sessions.
TEDPIX, the TSE’s benchmark, lost 8,823.38 points or 0.76% to retreat to 1,151,841. The equal-weighted index dipped 0.83% for the day.
About 8.54 billion shares valued at 61.96 trillion rials ($258.2 million) changed hands at TSE on Wednesday.
Trading at TSE and the junior exchange Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Nirou Moharekeh Industrial Group Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 9.08% to 3,509 rials per share.
Mehvarsazan Iran Khodro Industrial Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 22.7% to 5,550 rials per share.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Social Security Investment Company and Ghadir Investment Company.
Iran Khodro Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Iran Khodro Investment Development Company, Saipa Automaker Company and Kashan Amir Kabir Steel Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 175.14 points or 0.99% to close Wednesday trade at 17,484.04.
About 2.55 billion securities valued at 88.31 trillion rials ($367.97 million) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company had the highest number of traded shares as 500.91 million of its shares worth 20 trillion rials ($83.33 million) were traded.
Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company, Tejaratno Insurance Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Tabas Parvardeh Coal Company, Iranol Oil Company and Esfahan Steel Company.
