    Tehran Stocks Extend Losing Streak Into 5th Day

    With the bearish trend dragging on, the Tehran share market slumped on Sunday to extend a losing streak into the fifth day. 

    The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDDPIX, lost 13,469 points or 1.05% to end trading at 1,269,478. 

    The session featured another steep decline in trade value by retail investors dropping to 17.7 trillion rials ($70 million), the lowest in the past 12 months. 

    About 1.56 billion shares worth 19.67 trillion rials ($78.7m) changed hands at TSE for the day. Rouz Darou Pharmaceuticals Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 6% to 36,040 rials per share.

    Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by the National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Social Security Investment Company.

    Iran Construction Investment Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark followed by Dashtestan Cement Industries Company, Ofogh Koorosh Chain Stores Company and Rouz Darou Pharmaceuticals Company.

    Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 95.73 points or 0.53% to close Sunday trade at 17,907.58. About 869.72 million securities valued at 149.89 trillion rials ($599.56m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

    Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Pasargad Insurance Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Saba Tamin Investment Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Melal Credit Institution gave the biggest boost to the IFX followed by Baghmisheh Urban Company, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company and the Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company.
