More than 90% of employees and 77% of managers of executive bodies were reportedly satisfied with remote work and believe it must continue until the end of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Of the 89 executive bodies and 1,181,042 civil servants surveyed from April 3-Nov. 9, 2020, by the Administrative and Recruitment Affairs Organization of Iran, 81 bodies announced that they had teleworking arrangement in place, suggesting that only eight organizations (10%) did not implement remote work.
Workers of 70 organizations had access to work-from-home equipment and 19 organizations didn’t. More than 89% of workers were available when required, Aro.gov.ir reported.
Interestingly, 84.7% of task assignments were carried out on time and more than 83.3% of tasks had a favorable quality.
Over 78% of respondents (managers and employees) expressed satisfaction with the quality of teamwork done remotely.
More than 77% of managers and 90.8% of employees were happy with working from home.
More than 72% of meetings in 89 organizations were carried out via videoconferencing software platforms, including Adobe Connect, Skype and Shavak during the period under review; 88.27% of managers and employees present at these meetings believed that their quality of video conferencing sessions was adequately maintained.
Various employee surveillance practices were used to monitor remote workers; notably 9% of managers said they did not employ any form of monitoring. Only 17% of the surveillances were carried out by using remote working equipment and software; 66% employed direct forms of monitoring.
Innovative surveillance practices were employed by 8% of respondents.
