The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, dropped 0.41% on Monday, losing 5,375.44 points to end trading at 1,301,245.
Blue chips and large caps pulled down the market cap-weighted TEDPIX as also indicated by 1.12% decline in TSE-30 Index, which track the performance of 30 top TSE-listed companies in terms of market capitalization.
Small caps performed better to push up the equal-weighted index by 0.6%. The index gives the same weight to all shares irrespective of their market cap.
About 10.46 billion shares valued at 111.58 trillion rials ($446.32 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Ardakan Industrial Ceramics Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 27.96% to 24,990 rials per share.
Kavir Tire Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5% to 19,400 rials per share.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Iran Khodro Company, Esfahan Oil Refining Company and Khouzestan Steel Company.
Social Security Investment Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Iran Transfo Company, Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 99.55 points or 0.52% to close Monday trade at 19,174.59. About 3.3 billion securities valued at 140.66 trillion rials ($562.64m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Damavand Power Generation Company and Shiraz Oil Refining Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Minoo Industrial Group Company gave the biggest boost to IFX followed by Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Hormozgan Steel Company and Saba Tamin Investment Company.
