    Shares Gain 1.4 Percent

    Tehran's stock market posted gains on Monday after a dull performance a session earlier thanks to surge in most large caps.

    The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, gained 19,132 points climbing more than 1.4% to reach 1,374,483 points. 

    TEDPIX was buoyed mainly by giants as indicated by the nearly 2% growth in the TSE-30 Index, which tracks performance of the top 30 TSE-listed companies in terms of market capitalization. 

    On Monday, 186 ticker symbols gained accounting for 68% of the total tickers. There was a 10% decline in trade value in both the TSE and the junior exchange Iran Fara Bours. Trade value stood at 151.45 trillion rials ($604 million). 

    About 9.45 billion shares valued at 105.22 trillion rials ($404.71 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Asan Pardakht Persian Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5% to 25,830 rials per share.

    Zagros Pharmed Pars Pharmaceutical Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.73% to 14,900 rials per share.

    Bahman Group Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Investment Company of Iran, Barakat Pharmaceutical Group Company and Sepid Farab Kavir Steel manufacturing Company.

    Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mellat Bank, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Telecommunication Company of Iran.

     

    IFX Up 1.18%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 226.92 points or 1.18% to close Monday trade at 19,534.78.

    About 2.68 billion shares valued at 46.93 trillion rials ($180.51 m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day. Day Bank, Minoo Industrial Group Company, Marun Petrochemical Company and Iran Fara Bourse had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Saba Tamin Investment Company.
