In the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21), 5.6 million individuals entered the country, 179,080 more than the ones departing.
The country’s customs borders—including air, land, and the sea borders—have been crossed more than 11,150 times in total in the first four months of the current year, which is up by 4.79% compared with the same period last year. The outgoing travelers also showed a rise of 8.65%, CHN reported.
Among the customs venues of the country, Qeshm International Airport with 2.5 million crossings, accounted for 23% of all, and ranked first.
The Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA), and the Kish International Airport, respectively with 2.1 million (18.78%), and 1.1 million (10.23%) crossings, were the next top corridors.
