Iran will export 20,000 tons of cooking oil and processed sugar to Iraq every month, Ali Qanbari, managing director of Iran State Commercial Company said on Monday. According to IRNA, Qanbari who is also deputy minister of agriculture Jihad, said that the Iranian and Iraqi delegations have held positive meetings to regulate the export of basic goods to Iraq. Referring to his 3-day visit to Iraq and the talks held with senior officials from Iraq’s commerce ministry, the deputy minister said that Iranian officials have agreed to export 10,000 tons cooking oil and 10,000 tons of processed sugar to Iraq. Qanbari added that primary negotiations for export of milk powder and wheat flour to Iraq have already been held and that the next round of talks will be held in Tehran.
