The European Central Bank president Mario Draghi said euro-area states should form a “real” economic union that would speed and coordinate structural reforms and target common economic goals. “Substantial arguments speak in favor of exercising sovereignty jointly in this area, within the framework of a real economic union,” Draghi said, Bloomberg reported.
