A senior lawyer at the EU’s top court found Wednesday that a hugely controversial bond-buying program readied by the European Central Bank is legal, just days before the ECB could launch its first such operation, AFP reported. Advocate General Cruz Villalon at the European Court of Justice said that the program was “in principle” in accordance with European treaties.
