Honda Fined $70m

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration fined Honda Motor a record $70 million for failing to report safety problems, UPI reported. This is the most the government agency has ever fined an automaker. The NHTSA says Honda failed to use the Early Warning Reporting system to disclose complaints of vehicle defects that allegedly caused 1,729 serious injuries or deaths over the past 11 years.
