Dubai’s government is forecasting a 9% increase in budget spending for 2015 of $11.2b (AED41b). Despite the increase, this will be the first deficit-free budget set by the Emirate since the onset of the financial crisis in 2009, with an operating surplus of $980m forecasted. The budget will provide 2,530 new job opportunities while continuing to stimulate economic growth, Construction Week online reported.
