Romania GDP Up 9.5% in H1

The total turnover in Romania’s economy went up by 9.5% in the first half of this year compared to the same period of 2016, reaching RON 609 billion ($155 billion), according to Finance Minister Ionut Misa, Agerpres reported. The total gross profit also went up by 8.4% year-on-year in the same period and the overall gross profit margin in the economy reached 6%, he added. The finance minister also told the parliament that the state’s treasury has the state’s expenses covered for the next seven months and that Romania has recently borrowed money from international markets at record low costs.
