OECD Ups Latvia Forecast

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development has raised Latvia’s GDP growth forecast for 2017 to 4.3%, according to the first survey of the Latvian economy released by the OECD since Latvia’s accession to the organization, the Latvian information agency LETA reported. As recently as in June, the OECD projected the Latvian economy to grow by 3% this year. Latvia’s GDP growth forecast for 2018 has been upped to 3.7% from 3.5%. The harmonized consumer price growth forecast has been cut to 2.7% from 2.8% for this year and left unchanged at 2.3% for 2018.
