International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde praised the measures the European Central Bank has taken to combat the crisis and urged governments to implement fiscal policies in order to support growth, ShareCast reported. In a speech on Tuesday at the Bocconi University in Italy, Lagarde insisted that the Eurozone central bank must “continue to play a crucial role in supporting demand”.
