Swedish unemployment rose to 7.2% in April, the statistics office said on Tuesday, above the 7.1% forecast in a Reuters poll of analysts. The jobless rate was 6.8% in the previous month. Total employment stood at 4.966 million people, up from 4.963 million people the previous month. Seasonally adjusted, the unemployment rate was 6.7%, up from 6.4% in the previous month. The biggest local problems are housing and unemployment. These challenges have acquired fresh urgency as Sweden confronts the massive task of integrating its latest wave of refugees.
