Industrial production in Poland in April contracted by 0.6% year on year, while month on month it fell by 13.3%. Analysts surveyed by the Polish Press Agency predicted the y/y growth to be at 2%, 10.8% decrease m/m. Seasonally adjusted industrial output in April was up by 4% y/y and declined by 1.2% m/m, versus 8.1% y/y and 2.1% m/m increases in March. Meanwhile, retail sales in constant prices rose 6.7% in April compared to the same month last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office said. Sales at current prices increased by 8.1% year on year.
