Indonesia’s headline inflation and core inflation rates in April estimated to have risen from a month earlier despite relatively stable food prices, a Reuters poll showed. Fourteen analysts in the survey gave a median forecast of 4.08% for the annual inflation rate in April, rising from the 3.61% reported by Indonesia’s statistic agency for March. The poll’s median forecast for April core inflation is 3.35%, up slightly from 3.30% a month earlier. Prices of transportation, housing and utilities contributed to the higher inflation rate.
