Poland’s gross domestic product in the first quarter grew decisively more than 3.5%, Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told the private Polsat News television channel late on Friday, CNBC reported. “I think we are moving in a very good direction,” Morawiecki said. “All economic indicators are actually better than we had expected ... In the first quarter (GDP) it definitely exceeded 3.5%, maybe came slightly below 4%.” In March, Morawiecki, who is also Poland’s finance and development minister, said growth in the first quarter could come to around 3%.
