Italy posted a trade surplus with the rest of the world of €1.884 billion ($2.02 billion) in February, narrowing compared with a surplus of €3.861 billion in the same month of 2016, data showed on Wednesday, Reuters reported. With European Union countries, Italy registered a February trade surplus of €168 million, shrinking compared with the surplus of €1.255 billion in the same month last year, national statistics office ISTAT said. In February, exports to the rest of the world rose 2.3% year-on-year, while imports increased 9.1%.
