Consumer confidence in Portugal in March was at its highest level since 2000, according to the latest report on the indicator released by the National Statistics Institute, Portugal News reported. The INE’s index of consumer confidence increased from September to March and the economic climate indicator rose from January to March, having fallen in the three previous months, according to the institute. Consumer confidence has thus resumed “the positive course observed since the start of 2013”, and is now at “its highest level since March of 2000”, the institute said in a statement.
