Leading credit rating firm, Fitch has maintained its A rating on Ireland citing the rapid improvement in the country’s economy and the state’s finances, Bignewsnetwork reported. The rating agency has, however, warned of Brexit risks that still might affect the country. The stance adopted by Fitch for Ireland is still five levels below its top AAA credit rating. Its rating for the country is also ranked one notch below its rival Standard & Poor’s rating for Ireland. It is however, still, one step above that of Moody’s. Fitch said in a statement, “Ireland’s sovereign ratings are supported by strong institutions and a wealthy, flexible economy.”
