The French unemployment rate dropped significantly in the last two months, and will likely continue downward in the New Year, the Paris daily Le Figaro reported Monday, politico.eu reported. The number of job seekers registered on the database of “Pole Emploi”, France’s unemployment office, decreased significantly at the end of September and October, a trend that “had happened only once since French President Francois Hollande took office in 2012,” the paper said. According to Figaro, 106,800 unemployed people have found jobs since early 2016.
