Consumer confidence in the Netherlands remained at a record level of 12 in December, for the third consecutive month, statistics office CBS said on Tuesday, Dutchnews reported. This is the highest level in nine years, the CBS said, adding that consumers were equally upbeat about the economic climate. Nevertheless, according to the CBS’s ‘consumer radar’, consumers were slightly less ready to spend in December than in October. This is partly because they are slightly less optimistic about the future economic situation, the CBS explained.
