US industrial production fell more-than-expected last month, official data showed on Wednesday, Investing.com reported. In a report, the Federal Reserve said that industrial production fell to -0.4%, from 0.1% in the preceding month. Analysts had expected industrial production to fall -0.2% last month. Industries produced far less than their potential output in November. Capacity use, a measure of slack in the economy, fell four-tenths of a percentage point to 75%. Economists expected capacity use of 75.1%. Output by utilities fell 4.4% last month, as warm weather sapped demand for heating.
